(Grand Forks, N.D.) Edgewood Real Estate Investment Trust (Edgewood REIT) today announced that it
has completed the acquisition of the Greenleaf Assisted Living Centers in Brookings, Flandreau, Sioux Falls
and Sisseton, South Dakota. The four communities are residential assisted living facilities which provide
housing, meals, housekeeping, nursing care and recreational opportunities for seniors.

Edgewood REIT acquired the communities on June 1, and entered into a long-term agreement to lease
the facilities to Edgewood Group LLC, Grand Forks, ND. All employees retained their positions in the
communities.

44-bed residential assisted living facility that provides housing, meals, housekeeping, nursing care and

beautiful Plantation Country Club Golf Course.

Edgewood REIT acquired the community on May 1, and entered into a long-term agreement to lease the
facility to Edgewood Group LLC, Grand Forks, N.D. Becky Aubertin, RN, will continue as executive director
of the community.

 The History of Edgewood Vista Hermantown

Edgewood Vista – Hermantown began providing assisted living, advanced care and memory care services in March of 2000 when it completed original construction, which included 81 senior living apartments, today called “The Manor” and “The Lodge”. By December of the same year, an additional 41 apartments were built.  The Edgewood Vista community continued to grow in the months and years to come and an increased need for senior living was determined. In March of 2003 a third expansion opened to include 64 additional apartments, bringing the total number of apartments to 186 with the capacity of 201.  In 2005, Edgewood decided to further the concept of senior living in Hermantown and broke ground to the north of the original campus.  In July of the same year “The Suites” a stand-alone 86 apartment building opened.  Residents of “The Suites” are able to live independently and add assisted living services as needed.Today over 300 residents call Edgewood Vista-Hermantown home and the community has over 200 employees.

Edgewood Vista-Hermantown is managed by Edgewood Management Group, LLC. of Grand Forks, North Dakota.  Edgewood owns and/or manages 28 independent and assisted living communities in North Dakota, South Dakota, Montana, Minnesota, Nebraska and Wyoming, with the combined ability to serve more than 1,900 residents. 

Pending local and state approval, the communities will be licensed to provide memory care services. The completion of the $8 million dollar project will mark the first time that assisted living memory care services will be available in the state.  Construction is scheduled to begin this September in Cheyenne with an expected fall opening.
