Phil Gisi, Owner/Chief Executive Officer, was raised on a farm near New Rockford, N.D., and is a 1982 graduate of the University of North Dakota (UND) with a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration, major in accounting. Gisi first served as the CFO for an oil field service and construction company, then spent 10 years working for St. Joseph's/UniMed Medical Center in Minot, N.D., where he was the Vice President/CFO and later President/CEO. In 1994, Gisi invested in Edgewood Vista Senior Living, Inc., and today is the owner/CEO. Gisi is also the owner/CEO of Edgewood Management Group, LLC. and the President/CEO of its related development company, Edgewood Development Group, LLC. Gisi is also the President/CEO of Edgewood Real Estate Investment Trust, a company specializing in the ownership of senior housing facilities under the “REIT” ownership structure. He currently serves as a board member of Altru Hospital in Grand Forks and a member of UND's Alumni Advisory Council of the College of Business and Public Administration.

Michael Johnson, RN, Vice President/Chief Nursing Officer, sets the direction for resident services in all of Edgewood's communities and is responsible for quality improvement, risk management and licensing functions for the company. He has also served as the Regional II Vice President/COO for the company, and prior to that he served as the Director of Nursing for Edgewood Vista in Brainerd. Michael, who is also a Registered Nurse, has 20 years of experience in critical care and medical/surgical nursing in an acute care setting. He also volunteers for an international aid organization providing surgical services to people in Guatemala.

Gene Hysjulien, Vice President/Chief Operations Officer - Region I, directly oversees operations at the five Edgewood Vista senior living communities and three Edgewood Village senior living neighborhoods in Bismarck, Minot and Fargo, N.D., and Spearfish, S.D. Prior to this, he served as EMG's President/Chief Executive Officer, a position he held since 2006. Gene earned his undergraduate degree in Psychology from Minot State University and his Master's in Social Service Administration with a dual focus in clinical and administrative from the University of Minnesota. With more than 37 years of healthcare experience, he has held administrative positions in both public and private industry. Prior to joining EMG, he served as the North Dakota Director of Disability Services.

Ross Huttunen, Vice President/Chief Operations Officer - Region II, directly oversees Edgewood's senior living communities in Minnesota. These include Edgewood Vista of Brainerd, East Grand Forks, Hermantown, Virginia and Clearwater Suites of Alexandria. Prior to this, Huttunen served as the Operations Executive for HealthEast Care System in St. Paul, Minn., a position he held since 2000. Huttunen comes to Edgewood with over twenty years of operations, strategic planning and leadership experience in acute care hospitals, memory care and long-term care. He holds his bachelor's degree in biology from Moorhead State University, a master's degree in healthcare administration from Kennedy-Western University and a master's degree in business administration from the University of St. Thomas. Originally from Makinen, Minn., Huttunen and his family now make their home in Ham Lake, Minn.

Sylvia O'Neal, Vice President/Chief Operations Officer - Region III, directly oversees operations at 11 Edgewood Vista memory care communities, including Edgewood Vista Columbus, Fremont, Grand Island, Hastings, Norfolk and Omaha, Neb.; Belgrade, Billings, Kalispell and Missoula, Mont.; and Sioux Falls, S.D. O'Neal earned her undergraduate degree from William Carey College and her Master of Science degree in community counseling from the University of Southern Mississippi. O'Neal has more than 35 years of experience in various administrative positions in the fields of mental health, pastoral care and social services in both hospital and community settings. O'Neal has also served as the Administrator of Edgewood Vista in Kalispell and as an Operational Consultant for EMG.

David J. Lovato, Vice President/Chief Operations Officer - Region IV, directly oversees Edgewood's five senior living communities in Wyoming. These include: Park Place and Meadow Wind Assisted Living in Casper, Sierra Hills and Aspen Wind Assisted Living in Cheyenne and Spring Wind Assisted Living in Laramie. Prior to this, Lovato served as the Executive Director for Aspen Wind Assisted Living, a position he held since 2004. Lovato is a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) and is currently completing his Bachelor of Science degree in healthcare management from Bellevue University. Since 2004, he has been a Support Group Facilitator for Alzheimer's Association. In addition Lovato served as a Med Tech and Admin troop in the Wyoming Air National Guard for seven years and was involved in missions to provide humanitarian medical aid in Mocoron, Honduras and Chiclayo, Peru.

Ron Whetter, Controller, brought more than 22 years of healthcare finance experience to EMG when he joined the company in 2003 as the Finance and Budget Director. Prior to this, he served as a Healthcare Consultant for a large regional healthcare accounting firm. Ron holds his Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from the University of North Dakota. EMG's Accounting and Finance Department is responsible for all accounts payable and receivable; tax filing; payroll management; financial statement generation; budget preparation and oversight; risk mitigation; cost management; national purchasing; contract management; budgeting and cash management.

Alan Silletto, Finance & Budget Manager, joined Edgewood in 1999 as an Accounting Clerk, while attending the University of North Dakota. After completing his Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Financial Management in 2004, he began working full time for Edgewood. Prior to serving as a Controller, he provided technology and accounting support for Edgewood Management Group and Edgewood Development Group.

Shannon Obregon, Accounting Supervisor, oversees and supervises the accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll for Edgewood Management Group and its communities. Obregon has been with Edgewood since 2004 and received her degree in Accounting from Northland Community and Technical College - East Grand Forks. Prior to joining EMG she was the Business Office Manger and Store Manager for a local business.

Janelle Klinke, Director of Human Resources, directly oversees the Human Resources Department of Edgewood Management Group, she has been with the company since 2006. Klinke earned her Bachelor of Science degree from Bemidji State University and her Masters degree from the University of Minnesota. Klinke has more than 27 years of human resource, executive leadership and consulting experience in the fields of hospitality/gaming, higher education and manufacturing. She also has 20 years of experience in commercial and residential real estate.

Amy Larson, Human Resource Generalist, has her Bachelor of Business Administration degree with an emphasis in human resources from the University of North Dakota. She joined EMG in 2006 after serving as the Human Resource and Office Manager for the local branch of a national retail chain.

Michelle McDonald-Trostad, Human Resource Generalist, has her Bachelor of Management degree from the University of Mary. Prior to joining EMG, she served as a Talent Acquisitions Specialist for Ecolab's National Support Center in Grand Forks. She also has experience in providing human resources and payroll support for a large national food distributor and a global manufacturing wind energy company. Michelle is trained in Lean Six Sigma principles.

Lindsey Wangberg, Marketing Director, is responsible for developing corporate marketing strategies; community marketing plans; developing collateral and publications; implementing advertising and public relations tactics; tracking move-ins and move-outs; conducting sales/relationship training; monitoring "You've Got Leads" reports and property websites. She's been with EMG since 2007. Prior to this position, she served as the Director of Marketing for a multi-campus community and technical college. Lindsey has her Bachelor of Arts degree in communications with an emphasis in marketing and public relations from the University of North Dakota.

Melanie Metz, RD, Dining and Nutrition Services Director, is a Licensed, Registered Dietitian with more than 20 years of experience in clinical nutrition services, consulting, public health, worksite wellness and food service management. Melanie has her Bachelor of Science degree in nutrition from the University of North Dakota. EMG's Dining Services Department is responsible for developing dining services experience strategies; designing menus to meet residents' needs; nutritional analysis; food cost analysis; managing national purchasing and contracts; administering nutrition software and training facility dining service managers and staff members.

Barb Kramer, RN, Quality Assurance Nurse, has her Bachelor of Science degree in nursing from the University of North Dakota and her Master's degree in business management from the University of Mary. Barb began her nursing career as a Surgical Critical Care Unit (SCCU) nurse at United/ Altru Hospital in Grand Forks. Prior to joining EMG, she served as the Care Management Coordinator at Altru Health System. EMG's Quality Assurance Department is responsible for implementing policies, procedures, practices and service standards; performing reviews and quality services checks; maintaining regulatory compliance on state, local and federal levels; training and retaining quality nursing staff; developing and maintaining accurate service level assessment processes; conducting family and resident Satisfaction Surveys and serving as a liaison between licensing agencies and local facility management.

Laurie Sebenaler, Quality Assurance Nurse, with over thirty years of experience, Sebanaler holds her ADRN degree from Northland Community and Technical College. She has served in a variety of Quality Assurance positions in the senior living industry (including assisted living and long-term care) and as a SMQT Certified Surveyor for the Minnesota Department of Health. EMG's Quality Assurance Department is responsible for implementing policies, procedures, practices and service standards; performing reviews and quality services checks; maintaining regulatory compliance on state, local and federal levels; training and retaining quality nursing staff; developing and maintaining accurate service level assessment processes; conducting family and resident Satisfaction Surveys and serving as a liaison between licensing agencies and local facility management.

Keith Jensen, Construction/Association Manager, has more than 20 years of experience in management. He has his Bachelor of Business Administration degree with an emphasis in management from the University of North Dakota. Prior to joining EMG, Keith served as Project Manager for EDG, overseeing regional residential property development. EMG's Environmental & Construction Management Department is responsible for facility physical plant equipment; systems maintenance; audits and safety reviews; preparing recommendation reports that drive capital budget planning; providing support to the purchasing function through negotiation; consulting for equipment and system repairs; consultation and recommendation on new construction and development projects.

Tim Anderson, Information Technology Director, has his Bachelor of Business Administration degree with an emphasis in information systems from the University of North Dakota. Prior to joining EMG, he served as a support technician for Cybercon, an internet data center in St. Louis, Mo. EMG's Information Technology Department is responsible for all computer technology set-up, maintenance and inventory; wireless communication systems; training and troubleshooting; server maintenance; community telecommunications and emergency pendant systems.
